Well i got a new car and i could use some help you guys know these motors quite well and the thing is im mix match motors that are not really very close to be the same.
i bought a 1978 Datsun 280z 2.8 lt even-fire fi motor 5 speed transmission. BUT im going to be using a 60 degree v6 ecm/ecu, engine harness, crank trigger - and sensor, as well as the ignition control module (icm) as well. it will be running in batch fire so i will not be needing the cam position sensor (cps).

now what im not sure about is about the crank trigger. any ideas there? this engine never had a crank trigger obviously.... so yeah... oh btw the purpose in the swap is so i can tune the motor (going turbo probably gt28rs or just a t3/t4) using a moates setup.

I can't help you on your project, except by saying that the CPS mount the guy made doesn't seem like it would be too hard to fabricate. Have you dropped him a line to see if he can make you a setup?
