When I check this board, I always use the "View new posts" link... and it works fine. BUT, after viewing a few posts and then going back to the results page, I get nothing to show up. Does anyone know what's causing this?
I can't do anything about it either, cause of the cookie system I guess. What I do is click on new posts, and then open the threads I wanna read into a new window. Not the fastest route but it works. I also am getting sick of all 10000 smilies loading in the private messages.
I messed with the cookie settings (after reading in the user manual about it), and it seems to work better for me know at least. So hopefully it will work better for everyone else as well.
And Ben, as I said before, I still think the reason you are seeing all of the smilies is because you are the Admin. I'll see if I can't figure it out though...
Ok, I figured out why it was doing it... I had it set so that the forum used Postnuke's PM system. I disabled that and now its back to normal. So we'll see how that works.
looks like all my private messges since the site change have been deleted now though. I can deal with it though if it fixes that smiley issue, cause that was annoying. Should be good to go now though, i just hope no one had anything super important in their inbox.
They aren't actually deleted. They are just on the Postnuke PM system. To access them, goto the Site Menu and select Private Messages. Then you can access any that you might need. Don't worry, I checked mine and they are all still there.
On a differet PM note, in the Forum block on the main page, that will list your PMs for the forum now. So, it will list how many are in your Inbox as well as how many new ones you have. And you can send a PM directly from there as well (by hitting the little tag-looking icon).
