  • Its a dog!!!

performed 3100 to 3400 engine swap on a 94 beretta z26. used 3100 injectors and fuel pressure reg. also used the newer 3100 upper intake.probally should have used 3400 injectors and fuel reg. the reason for the 3100 upper is the class i race rquires the engine to be 3100. where is a good place to get chips or programs for the 3100 or 3400?

Can't tune a 94. I can't program a 96 beretta either. It shouldn't be running worse than stock with that setup. I would expect something else is the issue if it is the 94 injectors and regulator. Check to see that the regulator is working like it should. Are you using an EGR adapter or did you block it off?

Ben you can program a 96 Beretta, you just need to have them get you a 1997 Monte ECM to program. Its a direct plug in swap as long as you correct the gear ratio and shift tables to match what they have for a trans.

Editing my original post... HOLD PLEASE, I thought he did a 3400 top end swap.

      EDIT
Yeah as Ben said, your car should be running just fine as is, I ran a very similar setup for years in my 95 with 3100 injectors and then I did switch to the 3400's only because I introduced the nitrous and I didn't want to overload the fuel system.

Maybe drive it around for a while and let the BLM's adjust. It will take a while but it should run better. A tune of course would be ideal, but without an OBDI or OBDII swap you can't tune 94-95 cars.

Use a big port 3100 upper intake manifold.

He already is fooling the class thinking he has a 3.1L
