  • Tuning Tuning Tuning!!

I got absolutely no clue how to tune and its not my forte. 3400-modified helped me the first time to get my car running good but i would i would like to get it runnging stronger. I am swapping a 5speed in it too so that might need some tuning too.I want to get it tune from someone that actually knows whats hes doing with the 60degree.is there a way to get it tune from where i am?

Well I know what I'm doing, but as you know I don't offer "tuning services" since I do not want that liability, or headache... I have enough to worry about with my car and the race car.

Ben should be able to help you out if your using a 1997 Monte Carlo ECM and file. IIRC HP Tuners should support that.

I need to add my OBD2 tuning service to the store, but I am not as experienced as I want to be on OBD2. OBD1, no problem. I can do all 60V6 OBD2 that hptuners supports, which would include the 97 monte. However, to tune OBD2 would require the vehicle, or you would have to have a programmer as well. No other way to custom tune anything. Basics such as injectors and fan times and stuff like that is easy but to VE tune and everything related is impossible to guess at without experience.

Mickaz, I just have to check with Ben, but I have a 1997 Monte file... if the one I have is supported by HP Tuners, then I can take the current tune you have and move that over to the Monte OSID then reflash your ECM with that file, and then if you buy/get/obtain a HPTuner you can do the work yourself... As you currently stand you need a DHP to edit whats on there since the HPTuners does not support the Venture OSID, and you can't overwrite whats on a ecm with a new OSID with that software unfortunately.
