It's also saying 60% chance of T-storms on Thursday night. I could live with camping in the rain, but lightning and I don't mix. I think in the interest of safety we should do a hotel Thursday night and go to the campground on Friday afternoon.
I also think we should have a final chat about it on Wednesday. I won't be able to join the chat until about 10 PM Central because I have to work, but I think everyone who is coming for the first couple days should be on to know what is going on.

Um...happy birthday, we are going to kentucky?
I won't be racing and I am still praying the POS cutlass will make it. Right now its being a turd. Should have everything worked out tomorrow though. I can take the G6 if need be but space for clothes and a tent is in the "HAHA" category. No tent would work but yeah...planned on camping. Damn weather.

My news is I had to call DJM today and order steel lowering blocks with 2 degree spacers for the leaf springs. DJM representative said they 2 degree spacer shims would arrive by Friday and the blocks "later".
I took my truck to my shop today and put it on the lift so I could go over the truck because I still need to "Iron" this all out and we all know that takes time and lotsa $$$.
My Intentions for today was to install my "cal trac" slapper bars , bolt down the bed 100% , install new sway bar links , and tighten a gas filler tube clamp.
Unfortionately I found out my "cal trac" bars are for a newer 2" front solid bushing. I made a quick call to Calvert and they should be here Friday.
When I removed the leaf springs I noticed the belltec aluminum 2" drop blocks on the drivers side had broken its alignment dowel on the top side.Thats why I mentioned I called DJM for steel blocks.
I have to get at least my drivers seat belt installed.
I cannot run the track , hey thats all Id have fun doing besides drinking a beer with u guys and goofing off(31 but still young at heart to a degree) , with no traction device I will break my ring and pinion or my teeth , the springs dance if i try to launch on street tires let alone slicks.
My tune is decent Im stand alone tbi with a much better aem wideband tied in and a carbureted boost refernced regulator on the return side.
So to make saturday / friday night , I need to get humping , at the least may get cheap slapper bars thursday and get seat belt in. Not real fast set up here but I wanna get to run it , just this will be a total : shake down" since I never have run it (street combo , not race)
Any words of encouragement?

I was going to talk about this later tonight. There's a couple of things to consider:
1) We're spending most of Friday indoors, so it doesn't really matter if it's raining, except to those of us camping Thursday night.
2) The only time we really need it to be dry is Saturday night for the drag racing.
But, what we could do if people don't want to camp in the rain (I'm among them), I can call some nearby hotels and see if they have some rooms free. 2 should be enough to sleep everyone attending for multiple days, dividing room fees amongst a bunch of people shouldn't be too bad. Also, if it ends up raining all of our outdoor activities out, I can bring an old 32" LCD TV I have and my PS3 which is loaded with Top Gear and moveis, so we should be able to remain entertained. Let's discuss this among those of us who are staying for the whole thing. I'll go either way.

damn, that sucks!
I'm up in the air at this point (or at least my car is) still trying to figure out what's going on in the front end.

I'm in for the tent as well. After a hot and humid weekend in MN of all places, my biggest worry about this week has been sleeping conditions.

i got an 8man tent for this, with A/C =) so i might be looking for renters to help with the $30 a night fee. Maybe we should all plan a chat session mon or tues night for final discussions?
I'd sleep in the A/C tent!!! I LOVE A/C!!!!!Last edited by gpse3400; 08-16-2009, 06:54 PM.

The Wideband showed leaner at some points but it mostly stays between 15.5 and 16.0 AFR. 0 knock counts.
I don't want to add any more advance but i bet it could take it, i noticed that when i hit those cells in the city it bucks a little. it would be nice if we had a highway mode spark advance option in $A1..
