That will be a blast. Something like that would certainly be a memorable time.Originally posted by ForcedFirebird View PostBen and I will be attending the UTCC in July is anyone wants to meet up. We have been helping Carlos prep the race car for the event.

Jon, you are going, even if we have to pick your ass up.
Side note:
Ben, the race team and I will be in VA July 22, VIR for the Ultimate Track Car Challenge (UTCC) just in case any of you guys are in the area

Well, we are down to 4 days a week this month, and who knows how long that will go on. I guess I should look at the bright side and say work wouldn't hold me up now, as long as I had $$$ to go. Who knows about taking the car now, thanks to this crap, but my wife does graduate from her RN program in 4 weeks, so that would help out greatly because now she would probably be making more money than me (but that's fine with me
). Worst case I could take my truck. I got a worst of 26mpg on the highway averaging around 80 with 3.73 gears (>.<) which I really didn't like going that fast seeing how I tach at almost 3k at 75. I love my tonnou cover, though, makes a world of difference

Well, despite what's going on with Josh, we really should get the ball rolling to get a date set since spring is just around the corner. I can do whenever, I just need to know when. A caravan would rock for people up this way, but I wouldn't want to hold people up since I wouldn't be able to leave until after work. The way things go at work now, it's hard to say what time I would get off. I really would like to see a meet this year since last year bombed and I most likely would actually have a car to drive this year (if I can track down some affordable rims that don't look like complete crap that will fit over my brakes).

I get what you're saying, but it's not an ultimatum, it's reality, and it sucks. I can't take the time off of work to come to Kentucky two times so close together. That's why I skipped Pontiac Nationals two years ago so I could come to our meet. A 60V6 meet can go on if I'm not there. The only way I could go to POCI and have the 60V6 meet is if it was closer to my home so I didn't need two days to drive there and back. But if I do that, then people won't come that would have otherwise come. Say we move it Indy or Saint Louis or even farther north. People from FL and the Carolinas may not want to drive that far. If they would, I'd gladly plan something in one of those cities. But if we are settled on Bowling Green, the reality is I can't make it there so close to POCI. There is a super slim chance I could possibly make it in September, maybe in October, but then we run into the problem that those with families can't come because school is in. So you guys tell me what you want to do, because I'm stuck.I'm kinda bummed that you are saying either we can do ours when they do theirs or else you won't be coming out.

That's also what I was thinking too. That POCI club must be pretty big if you have to pay to join them. I'm sure this site is big enough Ben and Brad could charge fee to join, but I'm glad they don't.Originally posted by AleroB888 View PostWell, one thing's for sure................the fewer cars there, the more runs you can get in.

That's a question you'd have to ask of POCI. I can't see them having a problem with it, I don't know if you could race competitively for a trophy or anything, but I'm sure you'd be welcome to join in.
