  • Wheel bolt spacing

Ok as you guys probably know. We don't have many rims available in our bolt pattern (5X115). But I was talking to a guy a tire store here in Edmonton (The Tire Warehouse). He said that I could also use 5X114.3 on my car as well. I expressed my disbelief and questioned his competence. He told me that they have been doing it for years with NO problems. WTF???

Have you guys ever heard of this?

    Opinions please.

I've heard the opposite, You can never use a 114.3 on a 115, and visa-versa.

That's what I've heard from countless others aswell. It is only a .7 mm difference. Weird?

I will never do that again. Don't do it. I was going 70 through the hills of kentucky (some nice turns) when 4 of my 5 lugnut studs broke off on my right rear rim. That sucked!

I am much happier with stock now.
