  • Changes from 95 intake to 2000 intake

Hi im just trying to refresh my memory on what needs to be done to the new style 2000+ intakes to fit with a 95 setup.
1:Tap out heater coolant hole to fit 95 thread
2:I think the lower intake already is ground down for the rocker clearance
3:I think 2000 had a crank case vent behind the throttle body on the top of the upper plenum that i have to plug cause i have a small filter on it now.
    Anything else let me know.

dont forget to get the proper gaskets for the new 3400 intake, to take advantage of the 3400 taller intake ports, get the 3400 gaskets.

Thanks i was thinking of something like that i have to take a look at my EGR.I think i'll make it look sweet so it looks professional, i'll make one and show some picks and maybe i could make some foer people that don't have access to a machine shop.

Wouldn't it be even easier if i just bought a 2000+ EGR valve wouldn't it just bolt on?

It would probably bolt on, but the electrical connection I'm almost sure is different. And, EGRs usually run $100+, so the price difference is pretty big.

Well i found one for 35 bucks how can i tell if the connection is the same before i buy it? Does anyone have a 2000+ EGR Valve that can check and see what the connection looks like? That would be great if some one had one.

the 2000+ EGR willnot work, there are 3 wires for a 95 egr and 4 on the 00+. I had an adapter plate made for mine and it works great, and I didnt have to hack into my wiring harness.

Mine is kinda basic looking as I made it from some scrap steel laying around. I would love to see a billet alunimum one.

You will of course need EGR gaskets for both EGRs and longer bolts to hold it on.
