how many cc's would be reduced from 3100 a combustion chamber when taking .010 off the head ?

    im using that CR calc...

    2(mm), 90.27(cb), 76(psl), 92(hgbd), 0.508(chgt), 28.2(cc), -26, 0(pcc) = 9.918:1
    [edited] piston cc to 26cc
    1988 2.8L
    cylinder bored 050
    3100 heads (decked .010)
.020 copper head gasket, 92mm bore gussing

        Question on chamber....

Can I use flattop pistons or do I absolutely need valve reliefs?

what about iron head gaskets? thickness and bore? what would be the CR on a 3.1 with the iron head gasket?

iron head gaskets are .020 thinner. Can't run them with gen 3 pistons and I dont know what CR they would give a gen 2 3.1.

Pushrod pistons, dunno on valve relief but I would check the cam open/close times and see if there is interference. Most likely flat top wont have a problem. It will hit if the timing chain breaks though but I think that happens on the dished pistons too.
