I concur with Brad, and I was thinking the UIM that wasn't red and black was not painted. Doh! Yeah, don't do brake clean on paint.

Good stuff! I'd like to do a quick and nice write up about replacing LIMG's including using the rocker arm pry bar, but i'll have to wait till i have to do one of those jobs to take pictures.

          An Ode to an Over-Torque

          There once was Clumsy Mechanic
Who made our Friend Skyler Feel Panic
          When the Mech Over-Torqued...
          Skyler's Studs became Borked...
So much for the Clumsy Mechanic!

And then Skylar, in Need of a Fix
          Came to 60DegreeV6
With his Blood on "Slow Boil"
          Used a Smart Helicoil
And Shared with Us all his New Tricks!

The Story now comes to an End
(It Ends Happy, with just a Slight Bend)
"Here's Mud in your eye! I extracted the Die!"
And now Skylar can beam a Broad Smiler!

          A Job Well Done....and DONE!

This was partly of help to me, except now I have a helicoil for the wrong size bolt in the head of my car.... I now have no clue what size I need because I was not aware that the rocker arms were different.... This is my fault for not double checking and now I have to figure out how to fix my screw up.

uhhh....ummmm, is it the thread pitch different or size or metric to standard? you might get lucky with the proper heli coil, and tap being the same, if not, i dont reccoment double heli coiling, OR possibly check into the 10mm rockers, i dont know if they have a different bolt size all together or just the head, if thats the case you could easly grab them from a wrecker to swap all your rockers.

He had 8mm rockers, but tapped for 10mm because of a thread on here. Since I had some spare 10mm rockers, and I live 20 min from him, I gave him one, and he's back up and running.

bszopi brought me a rocker arm with the 10mm bolt, the car is back on the road, I got it back up and running Sunday. The car is running great, and I am sooo much happier now!!!
