wonder what I should buy for my 3.0L supercharged.v6

I want my engine to rev to 5500,redline at 5.700-6000rpm (aprox.)
don't want to lose the power down low in the rev range.

maybe 1.6 rollertip rockers are an option wile still keeping my
    stock cam.(HO engine)
would I really need new(stiffer) valve springs then ?

Yes you should get new springs. Springs are the only think in the valvetrain that keep it stable. A poor worn out spring can cause gobs of horsepower loss and valvetrain damage. Springs should always be changed during a rebuild. Beehive springs offer increased valvetrain stability at lighter pressures.

If your serious about this build then get some full roller 1.6:1 rockers with lightweight retainers and locks on the valve side of the rocker. On the pushrod side always opt for stifness. This means larger diameter and thicker wall pushrods.

I can't put FULL roller rockers in.
(thought those would only fit the 3100 and 3400 engines)

rollertip rockers will fit the bill I think.
can't find better pushrods that are for the alu head engines(2.8-3.1)
looked for those at summits and northern autoparts..but nothing.

are the beehive springs for a ls1 engine or...what ?

      thanx for your input

The crane gold race rockers are made for the iron heads actually.

And they fit all 660 heads. I have tried them on everything. The only engine that requires work is a 3100/3400 and it is only on the intake manifold.

Pushrods can very easily be sourced from Comp Cams or Crane Cams. They can and will make you any size you want.

Beehive springs are originaly from the 3100 engine back in 94 but the LS1 and all other LS series motors use them aswell. The LS series of engines has stiffer ones. The 5.7L Hemi also uses the same size springs but I do not know the pressures. Comp P/N 26915 and 26918 are also options.

Crane's tolerance for pushrods sucks so I won't go through them.

BTW those rockers are all the same...iron head and alu head gen.1 and 2 .

FYI I just checked myself, they are absolutely identical.

ARI engines sells performance valvesprings that all heve the same part.nr.for alu as well as the iron head engine.

You can source beehive springs from and LS series engine. These are the engines found in the Corvette and Camaro. I should also mention that the new aluminum head Vortec trucks use beehive springs. The new Dodge Hemi also uses the same size spring. Or Comp cams is another option.

Yes all the Crane Cams rocker arms are the same but they fit all the 60 degree V6 motors. The Crane site only lists them for iron heads but they can be used for all the engines. Infact you can use ANY NARROW BODY Chevrolet roller rocker arm if you purchase ARP conversion studs.

                    rocker end right ?

this way I could buy some full roller rocker for a small block chevy
                    for cheap on ebay.,,,right ?

I guess summit will have those arp conversion studs..
