Okay, in my very limited spare time I assembled my TB and checked moates.net about an ostrich emulator. The price isn't bad but just how does it function? How will it make tuning easier? The description is vague and maybe someone could explain it to me.

you should invest in an ostrich.. it'll make tuning that thing alot easier. lol

the LS6 yellows are taking .559 lift on moonwell's 3400, no idea how but they aren't binding and he's making craploads of power..

generally speaking .510 or so is safe for LS6 yellow springs.

yeah the comp springs are good for a 550 lift on stock heads and coil bind at .660

but yeah check the LS6 to see if they will work!

I'll check for coil bind but hopefully they will work. If they bind then I'll buy some Comp Cam springs. It is true, the more performance you want the more money that you have to spend and I still have to get a chip burned somewhere, then I have to address the trans. The trans will have to remain stock for now while I save the money to buy the performance parts to rebuild the spare that is in the shed.

I also didnt think you could get 530 lift on LS6 springs... But maybe I'm wrong.
I dont think you can. the cam I have is 478/480 and they are very close to coil bind. I dont think you could get a 530 lift from them. Maybe the comp cams springs you could

The cam and pushrods that I ordered from the 60*V6 store arrived today. Looking good I've got to say. Been really busy and haven't had time to start porting everything yet. I hope to get that finished this weekend and then I can start assembly. Have to order the TB, adapter, and FPR bracket from the store in the next day or so, but I'm sure it won't take long for them to get here. I need to get a chip for the OBD1 ECM cause I don't really want to fire this thing off with the stock calibration in there. Superdave was going to help me out with that, hopefully he has had time but I know he's been a busy man. I'll try to post some pics when I get ready to assemble everything just in case anyone is interested.

Hey no problem! That's a good price! Take a little time and make it pretty like I did.

I have read where numerous people have run the LS6 springs with no problem. when I do the assembly I'll have to check for coil bindbut I believe that it will be fine.
