  • Schneider cams???

In my search of ebay i found this cam and heads, aparrently they were rebuilt with a lot of porting done to them. the cam is brand new, and the heads have not been used since they were rebuilt. not sure if they are 3.1, 3100 or 3400 heads though. right now they are 52 bucks plus shipping and i call dibs lol. is .570" lift too much for stock springs? will 3400 springs handle that? my plan would be to put these in my 2.8 fiero untill my turbo 3400/3500 is ready.

They are pre-96 heads, as they do not have the notches in them for the roller rocker bases. Without seeing the exhaust ports, I can't tell you if they are 3.1L or 3100 heads though.

From the website you linked. they are the solid roller cams.
I dont think those work for 3x00 top end. Correct me if im wrong.

Yep, definately a solid roller: http://www.schneidercams.com/cams/36.htm

It could possibly work, but I definately wouldn't put it in a street engine.

If they are a package set, its gen 2. If its mismatch, they may be early gen 3 heads. Thats a 2.8 cam.

ok but they arent going to be big port and roller rockers wont fit right? so they arent even worth the shipping cost then. would i need bigger injectors?? or can you just tune it. also could i use that in a 3400 bottom end???

That cam isn't worth putting in a 3400 as you would be going from roller to flat tappet. The heads aren't worth messing with unless you have a gen 2. Even then I don't know how good they would be.

It is a roller cam but I am willing to bet it does not have a cam sensor ring

I wouldn't use it with boost. Its got a nice ramp up rate to it but those specs won't give you a better cam for boost over a stock 3400 or 3500 cam (they are the same).

You'd have to use solid rollers, not hydraulic rollers.
