Honestly though, I've sold shiznit on Ebay and said whatever I wanted to. I'm a big believer into buying new if its going into the engine. Whos to say that those LS lifters were not really some SB 350 lifters. I'm sure side by side they look they same. "If you don't want to spend that much then don't mod your car, you'll regret it when stuff starts to break." My thoughts exactly 3400-95-Modified

No, shipping to canada has gone up quite a bit unless its the small flat rate box and 4 pounds or less.

how is it 25 in customs for 35 in parts? Sounds like fedex/ups brokerage bullshit.

ahh Jon's buying the metal LIM gaskets. thats what i did it cost me an extra 90 bucks on top of the 130 for the kit from GM that i bought and then a month later the metal ones came out from fel-pro.
it was a huge FTL they came out with them like 3 weeks after i got the car back together.
i got both the sets of LT1 lifters i got for free from the yard. and only spent 70 bucks for the brand new 3400 lifters.

Ok, sure... I dont think you understand my finacial status and what it took to put that paint on my car.Originally posted by RedBird View Post30 bux for a set of 50k mile LS1 lifters here :P There's nothing wrong with used parts. I dont put all new parts on my car, I just dont find it worth my time to replace lifter springs with used ones when I could get a new set for $98... I don't find that to be that expensive, especially with what it's responcibility is.
I've been exposed to this type of stuff for a long time now being a crew cheif of a race team and there are some things I will buy used parts for and find it to be just fine with what they do, But then there are some other things I think its just worth spending the money on a new part.
It's going to cost me $124 in gaskets to put this back together... Do you really think I want to tear it all apart again because one of my used lifter springs broke?

My set started out as a good deal. $35 for a set of used 50K lifters. Then it was another $20 to ship. Ok still not so bad. Then I got nailed with another $25 customs so now I'm at $80. Not such a good deal anymore. The to all insult to injury I had to convert it to Canadian. So $90 CAD for the 24 springs I will use....

I only spent 98 bux on a set of NEW lifters on eBay. If you don't want to spend that much then don't mod your car, you'll regret it when stuff starts to break. I regret not doing it before when I found out about it, since now it started to act up on me.

if they did they would be more expensive then just getting a set of used LS1 lifters.

is there a company that might only sell the internal parts rather than buy an ebay set just to swap? Does comp cams, or even crower sell internal rebuildable parts that might work with what we have?

alot longer, more than 1/2" iirc.
there is no way the LS lifters would work, the oil holes are too high and the retainers would have to be completely redesigned.
