i was kind of wondering about doing a dual intake like this, but was scared to ask.
the Q4 cover is a neet idea though...

the car uses a coil near plug setup with a 7730, the coils are under the quad 4 cover. the stock intake on a 2.8 is a huge bottleneck, I imagine that improved performance drastically at all rpms.

    Edit:

I thought that car was running DIS, but it's not, you can see the distributor under the cover.

I wonder how well twin throttles work and what they do to the powerband, I'm guessing they are good for high rpm since a lot of the ferraris seem to use them...Also looks like He took the center plate from a quad 4, I wonder if he adapted the ignition system also(quad 4 has no plug wires, plugs are mounted to that plate)

IIRC, GM's explanation on that was due to the 7.0 having too thin of cylinder liners/walls to reliably make the power it make under boost.

Gm DOES axe everything nice, look at what the fiero was becoming, the 1990 prototype was sick.......and I doubt they will ever use the corvette prototype from transformers 2 either, that body, zo6 engine, zr1 suspension, brakes and supercharger=win.....but I doubt they will ever make that body style, let alone combine those elements for the ultimate corvette, the zr1 is great and all, but its not all it could be....its plain jain looking and could have more power with a SC zo6 engine instead of a smaller 6.3......

ah, well there were only 3 different gen2 SBCs made IIRC, the 5.7 LT1, the 5.0 in this article, and the 4.3 V8 used in the B-bodies.

    we are WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY OT.

It wasn't so much confusion, more like trying to remember it after reading it some time ago. I used to have a quick copy of the scan of that page on my pc, but I believe that drive went south long ago and never bothered to find another copy.

That was the article I was thinking of, but I thought it was a 5.7, not a 5.0.

IMO, he should have just modified the frame to account for the difference in wheelbase, rather than make the exterior look like an oddly proportioned beretta...

Anybody ever heard of this before? I stumbled across this today and it sounds pretty cool...I wish GM would have produced it. The Lumina Z50 idea was born in 1988 and was a Chevy Lumina with a 305 V8, AWD, and a five speed transmission. It would have had 285 hp and 280 lb ft of torque.

I did stumble upon this though...
