  • 3100 / 3500 cam regrinds?

is it possible to have a stock 3500(NON-VVT) cam re-ground?
also, are the stock 01+ 3100 and hte 3500 cams the same, if so could a 3100 be reground to go in a 3500? ?
and yes i know the wot store has cam blanks.

3rd, anyone have any experiance with delta cams? good/bad?

They are the same hollow tube/press on lobe cam for the 3100 and 3500. You can have it reground but you are just weakening the press on lobe design.

Delta does a great job, just make sure to have them call you before they grind the cam to OK the final specs. They changed mine and didn't tell me, what i got was pretty good but it would have been nice if they called.

Don't re-grind the stock hollow cam, it's weak as is. Your best bet is to either pick up a solid core from wot-tech or just get one of the performance cams from there. You'll end up paying about the same cost in the end, might as well get a nicer result.
