Perhaps not but I was trying to remove the generalization that all Fiero owners are that stubborn, which could be misinterpreted from your statement. Just trying to keep the peace.

agreed, but it's still far from just Fiero owners who are like that. I guess idiots is the wrong term and stubborn people is a bit more fitting...

I think you need to generalize that comment and say "idiots" because stuff like this is NOT specific to Fiero owners only.

Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Thank god Cavaliers and Berettas got aluminum head engines stock.

If the rest of us were as ignorant as some of those guys the world would be a boring slow place. It's nice to see a few people on there who understand logic though. lol

Some 3rd gen V6 Fbody owners are the same way, it must be an iron head thing in general.

BTW, I trapped the same speed with the stock 3500 plenum/75mm TB VS the ITB's last time i was out.

    lol... "Race Prepped"

it's not worth my time or energy to join over there and make a reply but you can let them know that it made those dyno numbers on 89 octane E10. It was perfectly streetable in the 5 speed cavalier, and in the Camaro even more so. The converter is pretty loose but i have no problems getting around. It even managed to break the 10 bolt rear end w/o the ITB's installed (stock plenum with a 75mm TB).

Have him post up 1 single N/A iron head 5 speed engine combo that puts down 275WHP/250WTQ, gets 30+ highway MPG, runs fine on 89 octane and is reliable enough to DD and has a torque curve like this: http://www.sdsgarage.com/Misc/3500/08-Dyno.gif

My setup is far from race prepped with it's completely stock bottom end, stock rockers, home built headers, home ported top end, etc...

    lol, a book from 1982.. it's 2013.

What a joke. I'll be dynoing my Fiero on Saturday and it basically has a free flowing exhaust using two front 3500 manifolds and is otherwise completely stock right down to using the stock air box and paper air filter.

Sorry, I am not flow testing the iron heads any time soon. Maybe some day.

shipping those is going to suck, they are pretty heavy. lol

Sure, I'd be interested in seeing how different Ben's numbers are vs mine. We'll have to make sure we both flow with the same bore size too. I'd say 3.5" if he's got one.. if not we can come up with something.

Dave you have a bench too right?

I've got a set of L44 Fiero heads I will donate to the Cause also, and I should be able to get a set of Gen 2 castings front he J/Y.

I would love to see a side by side same bench comparison between the different heads. just stock flow numbers would be good enough for me.

    I am serious.

Yep, it's been downgraded to flowing Briggs blocks, carbs and 1cyl Honda heads though.. lol

I think we talked about this a few years ago, It would be cool to get numbers all off the same bench.
