Could you use a dummy load resistor for the EGR solenoid lines, or does the computer get feedback from it? That's right the water outlet is different -- I have the mother's 3100 to lean over and ponder.
I dont know how the EGR works off hand, but I know someone was playing with resistors. The computer looks for the load on the egr, and the engine load change when the EGR opens up.
