Thanks Ben and Brad (and whoever else kept 60* going)

I didn't know until tonight that this forum was up and running, otherwise I would have posted sooner.

Thanks to Ben, Brad, and any other important people that got it going right away.

The 60* forum was the one I most participated in all of GMforums, so I guess its not a total loss. The only other ones I went to were w-body, and j-body. Once in a while the Pontiac thread (which I volunteered to be a moderator in there.. maybe cause I'm Canadian )One problem with those were that there were too much repetative threads . I didn't like people asking engine crap about a w-body when the best place was the 60 engine forums.

I'll definately stay a member here.. if LunaticSS doesn't want to keep the whole shabang going well it is unfortunate, but I think we can get through it.

Thanks for the positive comments I think is the layout we will go with for the forums, at least for a while. Now that I don't have to try and get more viewers for the GMF platform areas, we can put the focus on the REAL platform sites and forums.

As for banner ads, I don't have a CLUE what a good rate would be. fiero.nl wants 50 a month which may work for that site but is um..not happening here All I am worried about at the moment is the 240 to move the server. I also have to pay off John from GMF for the time I have used his server (we are still on it, so if he wants to be an ass he will shut us off). I got an email in which is thinks I plan on not paying...but there was no reason for him to believe that. I dunno what I owe him now but ill take care of that ASAP, just after we are on a new server.

So yes, banner ads are the idea. I will have to do some research on this, cause I don't know what to base the rates on at the moment.

I have to agree, you guys have done a frigging awesome job getting this together in such short notice. Like I was telling Ben on AIM, this has more of a feel of being "ours" (60v6 guys), then just a forum to post on. I think this new forum also adds a whole new kick ya in the nuts level to bringing 60v6 back better then it was before, and as with anything, I will help as much as I can. I do like the way things were suggested earleir about the way the sections should be layed out, but for the tranny section (if there is going to be one) I think that maybe it should be divided into auto and manual. Another good thing IMO, would be attachments. Banner ads, I can deal with, as long as I don't see an RSM one :P, especially if they are all related to what we have like clutches, ignition, things like that. A members rides area would be cool, but first I think we need to take priority to think of the more important things at hand, like the main engine areas and site support.
