does anyone know what the price is for in the 3400 cams? is it per cam, per set (intake and exhaust) or for all 4? im guessing its for an intake and an exhaust cam....

The 3400 has 1 cam.

No, that would be the 3.4 DOHC. 3400 refers to the 3400 written on the plenum (gen 3 pushrod).

i'm taking thsi thread over since the orignal question was answered and is done.

Can we still get any grind we want on the 3x00 cams like we used to be able to, or are we limited to the grinds listed in the store now? I want to get a new cam, same grind as before(1617) but new. I think i spun a rod bearing, and that will be the third time, and the third time this cam has been subjected to metal flakes in the oil. if i get the 3500 i want, i don't want to put this used and beat up cam in it, i want a new one.

All of the grinds are still available. Just order any cam and put the grind you want in.
