upon inspection of the 96 motor i noticed the dummy cam doesn't have blanks on it like it did for my 94 motor

yeah, on my old motor. the dummy cam had a bunch of perfectly round lobes

really? My 91 has no lobes, only the oil pump drive gear on the end.

yeah i have heard others say they didn't have them either. my old motor must have been some sort of bastard offspring or something.

None of the 91 motors I worked on had blank lobes.

My 93 does, or at least as far as I can remember it did.

Id like to see a picture of these. Perhaps they were cam blanks for a 3.1 or 2.8.

Hello All

My 97 Monte is void of all cam lobes also, just a shaft with bearing journals and a drive gear on it. 162K I think it is original.

My '91 parts motor didn't have any blank lobes either.
