    Was the prototype solid lifter?

We may never know:P However, I was reading a manual that states that cam specs listed as .020" lift for duration numbers is normal for solid lifters. The manual I have from 1990 for the DOHC lists the cam specs at .020". I was wondering why they would list them that way. Pretty interesting to me anyway.

Imagine lash caps on this engine! That would be fun eh?

Hell yeah! It would be interesting to deal with but it could be done.

If you did, it would give you a lot more leeway with cam regrinds. But can you imagine how noisy that would be? I think the knock sensor would lose it's mind.
I may own a GTO now, but I'm still a 60V6er at heart.
