    intake manifold bolts

    I'm geting ready to reinstall my intake manifold and was cleaning the bolts and they look like they had sealent or lock tight on them, is there a need for sealant on them

    I never use sealant on the intake bolts.

      they are very easy to strip... i would think its possible that someone stripped one of those bolts and used loctite or sealent to tighten them up.

        Yeah def dont use any loctite you may even want to put some asmbly lube on them they are a pain to get in some times.

        96 Z34 3.4 SC DOHC Getrag, 284 5sd manual transmission, stage 3spec clutch, 97 engine, 97 pcm, S3 intercooler 1 of 1 Roots SC LQ1 in the world 8.5 psi.
