    Question : ignition replacment

gotta replacement the ignition / lock cylinder in my 92 z34.

Will i have to pull the steering wheel to replace it? Gonna go get the ignition from autozone this weekend, and if so rent the wheel puller.

Which are you replacing--the lock cylinder or the ignition switch?

You'll be pulling the steering wheel. I'm thinking you'll need to pull the anti-theft lock plate, too. Another special tool.

Don't forget to take the new cylinder to a locksmith to have it re-keyed to match your old key--if you care.
