    Timing Belt?

it looked kinda hairy, but not REALLY hairy, but the little thingys shaped like cam gears hanging off of the side of th belt kinda freaked me out...

does this need replacing, and if so, how quickly will i need to?

FWIW, it's on my 1994 GTP, and has probably 86,5XX miles on it (never touched)

Yeah, its not aligned right. Could be a bad tensioner or a pulley is not running true. If it has 86k on it, i would replace it and check out the rest of the components.
