Quick Q about the intermediate shaft bearings!

I can use SBC cam journal bearings right? Just like the 2.8-3.4L?

They take the same bearings for the dummy cam as the pushrods do for their normal cam.

No the front one is different (wider) on the 3.4 DOHC.

If I remember correctly, you can get the SBC bearings for the middle two, the rear one is 60deg specific, and the front one is 3.4 DOHC specific. Just buy the 3.4 DOHC set from a Clevite or Federal Mogul dealer....

There is not much choice in the front and rear bearings though, so in my opinion it isn't worth it to try and get any of the special bearings that are available for SBCs. Get the wider center ones if you wish, but you have to get the 3.4 DOHC set anyway to get the front bearing (the aftermarket complete set and GM front bearing are the same price).
