How to remove *#&*! Pulley!?

Ok, so I tore down my spare engine today. I removed the intake, heads all the fun stuff. Now I want to remove the timing cover and the only thing in my way is that stubborn intermediate shaft sprocket. How in the HELL does that thing come off? There are no threaded holes to use a conventional puller, and I can't a use a Jaw type because there isn't enough room to even get a dollar bill behind the sprocket. HOW DOES IT COME OFF! I'm ready to torch the bitch. Any ideas?

I saw that thread before I posted and I wasn't sure if the tool was the same what with GM getting off by having a specific tool for every goddamned stupid job on these cars.Is there a part number for this tool? And where can I buy it? Oh and by the way, THANKS!

i used a BFH and a prybar. however this is not recommended unless you don't plan to reuse the gear

Tap it for some bolts and use a steering wheel/harmonic balancer puller.

Taps out great with a 7/16-20. No drilling needed.

I think we need an article on the site explaining how to do DOHC work without the kent moore tools. We have the home made hold down tools listed but I wouldn't mind making a larger article to include all these things. Someone care to write it up or at least give me some details? Steering wheel puller with 7/16-20 bolts for the belt drive gear. Got pics of this?
