i want to rebuild my front suspension but don't want to use stock rubber bushings and i can't find any poly bushings for my front control arms. I was wondering if any body makes poly front control arm bushing for my 91 z34. who, what, and where

you need to goto autozone ask for energy bushing book and they should have it in there I can look up where I got mine but its soo long ago I did that and I have to go through alot

If ES (Energy Suspension) has a part number for the factory W-body bushings, please post it. We've always had to measure the factory components and uses universal bushings that fit on the rest of the car.
I may own a GTO now, but I'm still a 60V6er at heart.

They don't make them for the Gen I W-body. You have to measure and use universal ones.
I have ALL the aftermarket performance catalogs.
There are a few Poly bushing companys but none currently make them specially for the GM W-body Gen I1991 Grand Prix STE

no they don't have listings for the w body but there are some after market ones that have been used I also do have the books and if you live in south eastern of wisconsin that be better cause I can help you out alot

PST wanted to sell me a bushing set for 89-96 beretta which is screwed up cause the rear lower control bushing changed from a horizonal to a vertical in lick 92-93.
i'm probally just going to chuck some poly leaf spring bushings in my lathe and turn them and press them into shells. i did it for my buddies 64 rambler american with SBC, on the front suspension and the motor mount and they work great68 El camino 454 speed muncie 3.90 posi 12 bolt,

Where do you get the shells? That is what stopped me from making any because I want to have a metal sleeve for them.Ben

i'm just going to get some control arms from the junkyard and instead of pressing the original bushings out, i'm going pull out the tube for the bolt to go through and then hog out the rubber and turn down some leaf spring shackle bushings till they fit tight and use a poly based liquid nails to make sure that they won't move. no press or machine shop required, ya68 El camino 454 speed muncie 3.90 posi 12 bolt,

A propane torch will pop the rubber bushings out of the steel shells very nicely. They practically jump out once you warm the shell a bit. I've done this on several Olds Toronados and older GM "A" bodies. You will need to clean some rubber residue out of the shells, I use emery cloth. If you get new inner sleeves with the bushings; fine. Otherwise I make new ones out of steel tubing. Why glue the bushings in? One of their best features is that they rotate in the shells; which means you DON'T have to have the suspension at normal ride height before torquing the bolts that go thru the bushings like you do with rubber bushings.
Use high-quality grease on the INSIDE and the OUTSIDE of the poly bushing or they can squeek. The supplier of the bushings will have a suitable lube; I'd expect 'em to include a couple of tubes with the bushings.^ some people may call this guy an asshole at times, but he isn't wrong very often -- Robert
