With 11 to 1. I should still be able to run non oxygenated 93 octane, if I go outside the Midwest e85 is hard to come by

I've had my trans shift at 6,750. The commanded shift point was lower but 1-2 is ALWAYS delayed from the commanded RPM.

yours trans is noticably different from stock.... i'm sure a lot of GM's specs/requirements are going to differ from reality at that point.

i don't know what is the basis for the 6,250RPM recommendation though... whether some number the engineers threw out or some specific part not being able to handle speeds higher than that.

From what I got from zzp the pump shaft and pump are only good enough to hold the 6,200 rpm. Cause zzp offers a hardened shaft and different pump and they said it will hold well over 7,000 rpm shift points

I have to ask Ben what his springs will do for lift and where coil bind is. I will hopefully be ordering them the first part of next month

I'd love to see what they claim is a different pump because the pump is extremely basic... not much can be changed other than inlet slot design and or the spring used to cushion the housing. It's also 4t65e specific I'm sure...

What size injectors would u think would work with the explained build. Just looking to get within the ballpark. I will be running e85.

I just don't know if 42.5lb injectors would be overkill

For 300whp I don't think they would be overkill with E85

food for thought, stock DOHC with similar cams did about 230 whp.

would a 3500 crank swap in? is so, you could have one offset ground and pick up a good bit of displacement with it.

I don't know how much more stroke u could out in it with already being an interference motor and have high compression pistons. I have read that thread and that is what got me thinking that 300 wasn't that far out of a goal like every one else thinks.

interference only has to do with cam timing and piston to valve clearance, not a thing with stroke.

Increasing stroke just means you need shorter pistons to avoid pistons smacking the heads.

if he already has new pistons(and it sounds like it), that would require selling/tossing those.
