Roberts going to call a shop near him to see what turn around time is, I know that is typically 2-3 weeks for some places and by then he'll have to find a storage unit up here since there might be snow on the ground... so we are trying to get it done asap...
I should have my hone tonight so after some house clean up for guests this weekend I'll probably head out and hone the block then clean the block really good and get the paint on it...
It's actually supposed to snow this evening Rob... LOL Mixed with rain though.

They have been on the car almost two years.Milzy told me the shop he uses closed so he had the guy that worked for the owner coat them. The back one is getting shitty i'll see what i can do but i don't think there is enough time.Originally posted by trewyn15 View Postdidn't he just get them? i thought the coated was a big part of their pricing

Nice build. My WOT headers will go to Swain Tech for coating (someday).......I'd recommend them if you are thinking about getting yours re-done.Originally posted by robert 1980 View PostYeah it has a few small spots of rust on the headers.Next winter i'll pull them and get them re-done unless jon knows someone?Nice beretta though

Last nights updates
Cleaned up the garage and tore it all apart.
Parts Pile 1

Cylinders look great and have no bad markings on them.

Robert one of the stock cam bearings was staring to fall apart.

Parts Pile #2

Empty Bay

The rigged heater core lines I'm doing away with

And a nicely built set of Milzy headers... I honestly can NOT argue the quality of these... For Roberts sake I just wish the coating was done better.

Crank modified for the TCE setup.

Slight issue on the timing set though, the side that faces the block has the timing marks, not the side facing out and I can't just reposition the marks to the other side since once flipped 180 the timing mark is on the opposite side of the key way... I sent TCE a PM asking him about this issue.

My crank gear doesn't look like the one below.

Marc and Ben have been working with me to replace this gear, It somehow got mixed up with one of Bens RWD DR sets so he is going to send out the right crank gear. Thanks Ben!

Well I dropped the 5-speed with a trans jack first then removed the motor, similar to doing the auto and if you angle the engine down the trans clears the frame rail very easily to disengage the trans from the clutch.
Few concerns about the current install though... For instance, these are the fuel lines...

WAY too close to the exhaust for my comfort... I am going to see if I can get my hands on a new set of 3100 lines from a 94+ car to fix this right.
Also the heater core lines are very badly routed and pretty much LAY right on the header cross over pipe... I'm going to also find 94+ beretta parts, I have the front rail pipe that doesn't have the TB heater lines so I'll use that and try to find a hose that will route around the headers.
Just some other pics.

I need to re-wrap the front header

Pulled the crank so I could get it to work to have it modified since that guy is on vacation next week.

Crank out.

Roberts 89 GT/U build 3400/3500 WOT-Parts
I figured I would bring this over here since its comprised of WOT-Tech parts.
List of parts to be installed
SBC 350 Cam Bearings
LS6 lifter springs
Custom Cam, 206/206 duration at .050 533/533 lift.
Smith Brothers Pushrods
3500 Ported WOT Street and strip heads
WOT Street and Strip 3500 Lower
ARP Head Studs
TCE Double Roller timing chain
And do a full road tune.
Well, Robert dropped off his car Saturday (10-15-11) and I moved the cars around today and got all his parts out to see what I have or may need.
Pinky's gonna have a chat with the GT and teach her how to idle with a bit of lope...

I need to put all of this

Into here... And make it look good...

Maybe if I just leave it like this overnight all of those parts will just jump in the bay...
