Ben's new toy....

Well, since Ben decided he didn't want to be online at all today, I guess you guys get to see his new toy before he does.







Yeah, my welding skills aren't the best, but they sure are improving! Anyway, I wanted to mess around with the welder somemore, so I was gonna make a simple head stand. Started talking with Ben about it and he mentioned he wanted something that he could use for porting. Something that would support the head and also allow for easy rotation. So we came up with a rough idea and I commenced cutting and welding it up this weekend. Finished it up this afternoon so I figured I show it off. Lemme know what you think!!

You should have just used the side accesory bolt holes. That's how we used to mount them into our Serdi at Optimax. Couple M10 x 1.5 bolts and it would be a lot less bulky. You could slot the mounting holes so you could mount a variety of heads too, cause most heads have those bolt holes on the sides. Just a thought.

Hey Colin, if you truly are interested, let me know and I may be able to knock another one out pretty quickly. Once I figured out how I wanted to make it, it actually went fairly quickly. I still have enough material to almost make 1 more complete one (think I need another stick of 3/4" square tube). I was telling Ben that its not exactly straight as far as the angles go, so when the head is rotated, the bases will move slightly. But its really not that big of a deal.

But yeah, let me know. I'm sure we could work something out.
