does any1 know of any awd D-T that can take 450hp?

im seriously considering a 3.5 turbo build & if i do go that route id *like* to go awd-as well as 6 speed. the problem is, i dont know of many awd setups that will take 450hp too well which is why im asking you guys-also this will be with small 13-14" rims/tires & id be looking to have a pretty nice top speed. also i definitely dont want an auto, and if i can id like a 6 speed but 5 is ok too. any ideas guys? im not too concerned about whether or not they bolt up-i have a machinist buddy that will figure that stuff out for me for a good couple cases a beer

i was considering a dsm setup but i dont like the fact that its only 5 speed & ive heard a lot about reliability problems over 400hp. i figure subaru is the best candidate-what do you guys think?

GMC Syclone/Typhoon or Oldsmobile Bravada or Chev/GMC Astro/Safari. But don't think you can buy that Celica and bolt or even fabricate in an AWD case and front axle.

Why do you want awd anyways? Seems pretty pointless to me...

i want awd so i can have the peace of mind knowing that when im screaming down the road im not going to break traction & die... also why not on the whole-awd'ing a celica? i do realize that going THAT route would mean cutting out a lot of medal and doing a LOT of really custom ****, but itd be 100% worth it -to me-. i figure if i use the DT out of a 01-06 subaru impreza awd i should be good because it matches up almost identically width wise as well as with the wheelbase. the big thing im concerned about is whether or not a 3.5 is going to fit in an rwd configuration without having to gut the firewall COMPLETELY. ive always dreamed of having an small awd covnertible with a v6 & plenty of torque-but not get 15mpg.

As far as I can tell, you will never be screaming down the road in anything but your '91 Lumina.

Have you even thought about the structual integrity of the body, being that its a convertible?

With all that you are talking about, you are looking at tens of thousands of dollars to do it properly and safely. Nothing against you, but reading all of your post lately, it just doesn't appear (to me and several others) that you have all the knowledge you need to even think about attempting this project. You are asking some very basic theory questions, yet your plans are in excess of what many customization shops would even consider doing. If you can pull it off, more power to you. But I just see a lot of talk and dreams that just isn't going to come of anything...

AWD = Pointless waist of time... just worry about the engine and trans because with all of the questions your asking I would be surprised if you made any real power at all.

My wife has big tits... does that make you feel better? Who wants a 200+ HP 2.8? At least I have a 3400 that I plan to build up sitting in my garage with a goal in mind instead of pointless questions about awd convertibles with 450HP... and twin turbo 3.1s and etc, etc, etc... how many threads do you need closed? Going for a record?
