    Mazda Mishap

Why idiots should not own wrenches.

The story: My step-daughters boyfriend, replaced the water pump on his Mazda 626. In doing so, he needed to remove the balancer. The bolt was very tight! So, he held it solid with a prybar stuck in the sensor teeth. Then, with a mighty tug, that pesky bolt broke loose! As did several of the teeth. No problem. His neighbor was a welder. He made new teeth, he was very proud of his work!

Uh,..there was a problem however, the car would not start, would not fire a lick.

Picture is worth a thousand words...besides the crappy welding.

Can you spot the bastard tooth? There is a weld signature.

Hey, we've changed a strut spring with a set of tow straps one time. It was one of the scariest things I've done!
