Awesome Golden Monkey would be ok by itself, but still too sweet. I didn't realize it was a wheat. Doubt I can get any of it here but I will ask. I'm actually cutting back on my beer consumption. Trying to get in shape (round 2 this year) and alcohol is counterproductive. Id quit, but that would be a fate worse than death IMO.

The place where I first tried it had a rule -- one per night. Too many show offs ended up getting sick.

But it's great if you like triples and similar flavors.

I'm currently trying this right now. Definitely has the aroma of blackberries, but not so much the taste. For a Sam Adams offering, it's not bad.

Black Lager and Cream Stout are my 2 favs from that list. I don't really like fruity beer but if its mild, then its ok. I had some leinenkugle berry weis and I wanted to spit it out, puke, and then burn my tongue with mapp gas.

I have had that a couple times. When its gets that bitter, its like a grapefruit. haha
