well i couldnt get a camera. jay's guy backed out so he didnt make it down. i have to get it out of here and i'm home monday for the boneyard to come pick it up so i started pulling parts today.

i took it up to 6500(1000 past redline) for 10 minutes, did nothing but give it a lifter tick and it smoked alot at first cause it always did that. it did blow a hole in the radiator(it got HOT but couldnt kill it). so i threw 4 screws into the TB, 2 down each hole. ran it for a minute, clanking away at 6500, then it stopped. i dumped some gas down the TB and it started again, and ran for another minute before it finally wouldnt run anymore. nothing catastrophic though, i just think the screws got lodged in the valves and held them open.

next time i do something like this i'll get it on camera. apparently the 3.1 is a badass motor. to hold 6500, temp gauge in the red, and not give up.

4 strokes dont blow . I say it wont die, even with bolts down the tbi

My 3.1 died with just 1 bolt, cracked a piston in 3 peices and cracked the head.
