So what does everyone do for a living?

Just figured I'd try to start an off topic discussion to see what people who visit actually do for a living. I will start...

I would for an electrical contractor and my actual title is Virtual Construction Director. Basically just a glorified CAD guy . But I am over a small team of people and we model a large portion of the electrical installation for our projects so allow us to prefab as much as possible off site and then send to the job site for installation. Been doing this for almost 14 years now. Some projects I've been involved with in the time include basically every new sports venue on the Kansas State University campus over the last 14 years (football, baseball, soccer, volleyball, even rodeo). We also just completed the utility plant and all medium voltage service for the new Leavenworth prison (which I was also the project manager for). I've also done the electrical design for almost 20 shell warehouses and was the PM for 2 large Amazon distribution centers in the KC area.

Before all of that (and actually even before this site was a thing), I spend 6 years in the Navy, 4 of which was as a reactor operator on a fast attack submarine.

    How about anyone else?

Put that CAD to good use and design some carb manifolds for the LZ heads. I would if I could but I can't. I can use Tinkercad.com to do basic shit but thats it.

The last time we talked about jobs, I think you were doing some design work for a wal mart? I don't know why I thought you worked for wal mart headquarters in some capacity doing shit that required a 3D scanner.

As for me...wot-tech. 60V6 performance. Hopefully its not a new name for anyone looking at this website

I left the design world in 2012. I do have a 3D scanner now though... . As well as a decent 3D printer. Now I just need some LZ heads to bolt up to one of the blocks I have here.
