here's what's chillin in my garage ... its a 1945 olds (my great g-pa's, then my g-pa's and currently owned by my uncle) it hasnt moved more than 10 feet in 30 years

Does it run still? That looks easily restorable to new/like new condition. Im really starting to like these old cars, even if they aren't safe (death by steering wheel, no seat belts). Maybe we should have a 60V6 owners old car cruise sometime. hahaha, that would be fucked up, an engine club having a cruise for something totally non site related.

Got any more pics, interior, trunk, etc? My grandfather bought the 74 cutlass I have new, so its gonna be in the family for a long time hopefully. At this rate, my 91 grand prix is gonna be passed down as well:P

1945??? according to my sources gm did not produce from 1943-1946 because of the war effort.

looks very similar to my dad's car - both A platform gm's.

its a 1942, it was one of a few hundred made before they switched over to war goods, and yeah that car looks a whole lot like it

Roots of NASCAR! Actually this engine was slow. The V8 was already taking over. Made by Cadillac. The 40s had some good cars This wasn't one of them. But it is still a nice piece! Kudos!

I'm waiting to cash in someday on my Father-inlaws car. He's the Original owner, 1970 Pontiac Grand Prix with a 400. Just sitting in the garage for the last 15 years under a shitload of junk. Will make a great cruiser someday if I got my hands on it to restore it.

Man...I love older cars. My mom had a 73 Grand Prix with a 400 until I was like 8 years old, then my parents sold it for a friggin' olds station wagon! She told me they really thought about keeping the GP for me to drive. Man, that woulda been sweet.
