at first glance it almost looks like and acura 3.0 but the front of the block wouldn't have that 4 inchs of metal sticking up. I wouldn't say a shortstar due to the cylinders sharing walls, symesed. god my spelling sucks. any other guesses?

A "true" High flow converter, straight pipe.
Low/No flow EGR valve, block off plate.
Carbon canister and purge valve mod, place in large 30 Gallon can, cover, and place curbside, the city will do the rest.
PCV valve and vent tube, reroute to exhaust to dump where it belongs, on the ground. Or add breathers and let it all free.

Doesn't look familiar to me at all. Did the short start have cylinders that look like that? I have seen more imports that have the open deck than domestics but that doesn't mean its not domestic.

Well, it's got the 60 degree bellhousing bolt pattern on the back. Most likely it's GM. But just what, I don't know.
