yes the wraps help..i have driven in many bad storms already and had no problem..believe it or not i had a issue in the car wash with it but wasnt bad enough to hurt anything..just ran alittle funny for a minute but just fine after that1994 Chevy Corsica. Parted out. Just a rotting shell now

well water isnt the big bad enemy that everyone thinks it is, esp in a setup like this, the heat from the turbo would prob vaporize any water, or at least atomize it enough to cool down the intake charge, just like a water injection system does. i hae seen a r!c3 car here that has his stuck through the hood and he drives just fine...very funny though

Mine was a 12:1. It ran pretty rich under boost though. You could probably get away with a 10:1. You would want to dyno with a wideband to choose the correct one.
