no offense but you have no idea what your talking about...theres no 3.1 bar or 3.4 bar. Theres an early bar and a later bar. Both fit on all w-body engines. I have personally used the round one and the square one on my 3.4

no need to apologize. i always just made my own by welding the buick f-bar to the strut plates and never messed w/ the vert bars. I guess I shouldn't spread out false info I'm going to edit my post.

The round bar doesn't work too well with a 3.4 DOHC. I would hope GM never offered that bar with the 3.4 DOHC.

Starting in 1993, ALL CS convertibles received the square bar.

Let's see pics of a round bar on a 3.4 car before saying whether it will or won't work.
