Chip or Flash

I have a 1994 Grand Prix, with the first year 3100. Hypertech tries to sell me a chip, but i believe i have a flash computer, who is correct?
And, what kind of computer tuning would you recomend for my car to gain performance without sacrifing driveability. What brand names?

Its flash, so tell hypertech to get a job. I would either get something to tune your own computer, or a stand alone, or swap to an older ECM that you can tune easily.
