Who can burn a chip to run a 96 Manual tranny?

Im putting a 96 Lumina engine in my 5 spd Getrag Fiero, and I was going to hotwire the ECM to deal with the tranny diffrences, but I wanted to see if anyone could burn a chip that would eliminate the need to do this. No other mods at this time, just delete auto tranny.

Talk to SappySE107, he does a lot with the DOHC chips.

What year of wiring harness are you using?

My engine wiring and ECM are all from a 96Lumina, the rest is 86 Fiero

Ouch. Its OBD2 so no chip. Is there any chance of you finding a 91-93 wiring harness and ECM?

Isnt the OBD2 flashable though? shouldnt I be able to come up with some software to edit the ECM with my laptop????

Not that easy. Its 1800 for the hardware, 1200 a year for the license and updates for all the codes. Its not as simple as hooking up a laptop and flashing it.
