How much stuff off of a 3.4dohc cam code can be taken out that isn't needed to make the engine run or monitor the engine, like the tranny controls, I think theres bits in the code for the a/c as well, and some other things to I think.

I don't know what all can be taken out, but if you are asking if it can be changed to not throw codes or have any issues running but dropping it into a chevette and not using the 4T60-E...thats not a problem.Ben

i'm trying to do this low budget of course, I think I actually scored an engine and wireing harness for free, just have to haul the car away to. I still have to get a tranny, drive shaft, s10 rearend w/ posi, make motor mounts, headers and exhaust. Springs front and rear, and koni's all the way around. Cut off brake pressure from the master cylinder and install hydraulic hand brake for rear brakes.... holy poop, i gotta alot of work to do, ha ha.Comment
