I've been using the SST 27SF512 in my 1227165 (MAF F-body) and 1227730 (SD F-body) without any problems after approx 200 reflashes. Not all programmers support the SST 27SF chips so verify that your programmer does before you get them. Within this week I am going to be using it in my 94 3.1 W-body lumina.

I get my 27SF512 chips for 5.00 each from www.moates.net. He also has a good selection of adaptors, chips, and emulators.

I highly recommend moates.net for computer stuff, great service and bulk discounts

I haven't tried that chip cause my programmer sucks, but the 29C256 chip works great for me.

ya apparently sst sells 256 chips but they were not listed in the samples forms, i guess a 512 chip would work, just gotta "double" the bin ? and then flash ?
