    Performance Chip

I have a 2001 Grand Am GT and am looking for a chip. The pfyc chip is joke and A.S.E. chips website has a pop-up that says the site is down. Are there any other chips for my car or any other way to reprogram the E.C.U.?

You don't have a chip, you have a flash type computer. You will need to have the computer re-flashed. DHP is another place that can help you out also.

Is there any computer mod that does show somewhat significant improvement?

How about hypertech? I own a 1992 cav (removable prom) and want to know if anyone has any experience with them.

Looking at the code they change and every dyno I have seen....yes. But some people refuse to believe dynos and insist that 0hp gain made them faster. Who knows.

Not to defend hypertech in any way.. But the shift point change could very well make the car faster... The one I put in my s-10 was a noticable difference... I actually hit my head in the back window on a WOT 1-2 shift.... But in the w-bodies... noone seems to like the changes... Different prog. I am sure.....
