    Scanning a '95 LQ1.

I saw on Freescan's site that they can do 91-93 LQ1's... So that leaves 94 and 95 out completely? Does anyone else here scan their '95 LQ1s by any chance? If so, what do you use? I want to get a cable and start scanning.. I'm a little paranoid about KR and trying to figure out how healthy my 200k LQ1 is. Thanks for your help.

Sil might be able to make a tuner pro aldl file, but I am not sure. I would love to be able to scan 94-95 again.

Yea.... Sil... you could be our hero. I know of a few other people that would possibly be interested in one of these files. I would help if I had any knowledge whatsoever about them, but I'm just wanting to get into it and learn.

          In the dark also

I have 95 cutlass convertible with a 3.4 and I am in the same boat. I need to scan codes and clear check engine light. Seems this is an oddball year for retrieving codes. If anyone has figured it out, please email or post.

I will mess around with tunerpro and see if I can make up something for it. I have the code layout but its an assembly code layout that has the ALDL info in it. Im not a coder so I will probably fail, but I will try:P

Even if I have to buy something and use my laptop, I'll do it!

              Thanks, Sappy.

                  I can wait

This car is a winter project, I have months and I can wait. I have a brake job on this to do first, then power steering pump. Redid half the vacuum lines today and the car stopped backfiring. Idles rough still. Plugs are next week, looks like a job to get to the back ones!

I would be willing to buy or make a 12 pin obd1 to serial or usb cable and spend some money on software for my laptop too

Sap, Sil thanks!! If you get something to work, please post.

I had to switch ECMs and now it works with efi-live so I know its good. The tunerpro file gives me a ton of packet errors and I don't get coolant temp or battery voltage.

                              EFI Live

Got EFI live to communicate and read data. Tremendous help. Identified and replaced malfunctioning parts. Can't get it to clear check engine or ABS lights though. Had to do it manually by disconnecting battery. Check engine light out now, engine runs well but abs light is next project. Thanks Sil
