3100/3400 hybrid, what spark plug gap?

I've done the 3400 head and intake swap on my 3100 engine, and I was wondering if I should continue to use the same old .42 gap or if I should move up to the .60 gap used in the 3400?

.045 is gen 2. .060 is gen 3. You should be able to run .060 gap no problem.

Misunderstanding on my part. Thanks for clearing that up Ben. I'm getting nervous about the details now that it's getting close to done.

        x2

when you put a 3400 top end on a 3.1 block you are basically building a 3100. which uses .060" gap. I had a 3400/3.1 hybrid and it ran great with .060

hm.. the better question would be what plugs to use...

i've been using the r42lts delco plugs from the tgp due to wanting to use nitrous. however they came gapped at about .045" and thats what i've been using, with no problems.

should i gap them larger next time i pull them out?
          got zap-straps?
