3500 goin In and 3.1 goin out

i finallyfound the right site any way im startin from square one again i wanna get a more powerful engine in my car the beatiful 3500 i had been tryin to swap in a 3.8 but i gotta mod to much and those cars are becoming rare in my area and in a last dich found this site and wanna know wha i need todo the swap and what things are different

3.1 in what? What car, year, transmission are we talking about?

He'll need a new crank position sensor i think, then a good programmer to get the 3500 to run well and i think there's a couple of other things but as ben said we'd need to know the year what car and what transmission. Remember with the 3500 you need a 4t40e 4t45e series transmission i believe. Correct me anyone if i'm wrong. I'd suggest building up a 2003 4t45e if your planning on adding boost.

Any transmission that bolts up to a 60V6 will bolt up to the 3500. I sure wouldn't limit myself to the 4T4x-Es...

deffinetly not, if your making new mounts anyways and a possibility of axles then you might aswell get a 4t65e hd or possibly the g6 6spd, i would love to see that one pulled off so that we get to know a lil more about what kind of BS problems you'll have, lol

thanks guys but it was my bad i was talkin bout the 3400 with the 3500 top end cause im not makin enough money im not makin enough to to buy a 3500 plus they are too new

Just like a 91 grand prix is my guess. 2 dogbones, lower hydraulic POS engine mount.
