HP tuners for 3900 swap

looking at HP tuners site and they list a few different 3900 engines that it works with. Wondering if it would be easier when swapping the 3900 into other vehicles if you used the stock PCM and ran the fly by wire TB. Can HP tuners shut off all the VATS and such so you just have to use the PCM and not the BCM and VATS system to run the 3900 engine. Any info would be appreciated Dan

drive by wire ruined the motor and there are only bandaids, no fixes. I wouldn't even consider it.

I have heard that the VATS/BCM stuff can be disabled but you're probably better off finding out from HPTuners what kind of things can be tuned.
