    Gauge interest on W-body STB

    Hey Everyone!

I just wanted to see how much interest there would be in something that our company was going to consider making.

    - Front & Rear Aluminum Strut Tower Bars for 88' - 96'/97' W-body cars

We have one set made and we're very happy with it, were considering making Billet aluminum mounts instead of powder coated steel thought.

We do have a bunch of Light but very strong chassis parts for the W-bodies that we're going over and considering as well, but for now I thought it best to start with the STB.

Everyone that is interested, LET ME KNOW.

If there is a good interest we are going to start producing them.

    Best regards to All,
    Dave

Aweb80 makes rear strut tower bars. I just received one of his. I also own a RSM one. He does not make fronts because it is so cheap and easy to modify a buick STB to fit. But for rest I think a FRONT STB that goes around the alternator would be nice(I hear the dohc guys have clearance problems?)

Dave: What were considering charging for a rear and front STB? Have any pics?

I'm still considering that if its a go.

I'll have to get some pics when I get a free moment. (lol, not right soon )

They are adjustable too by the way.
Along the same idea as the RSM ones.
They work well and look good.

Oh ya, the new owners at RSM no longer sell the older w-body STB and a lot of the other stuff.

I'd be interested in both front and rear for my '93 Z34. What are we looking at as far as price? I was planning on getting STBs this spring. Will they be ready then?

I would be interested in any suspension or body parts.

Anything on trailing arms?? The stockers are rather weak anyway being stamped steel, if they were made in the same shape but solid billet that would make then just as strong but a little lighter. Maybe put some holes in them at key areas to make them even lighter but not sacrifice strength. Mabey carry the U shape thru out however gradually thicker at the mounts

It would be nice to have a set of rear links in billet too.

gmpp sells trailing arms. The tubular arms for the 97+ grand prixs fit the older W bodies.

                        Yes,

I'll let everyone know if it a go and the price as soon as I can. I'm swamped with so many business related Items that I CAN say it won't happen right quick.

                        Just to give everyone some idea of some of the item that we are tossing around in making is;

                        - New machined and Cast Aluminum parts to replace the factory pressed and cast steel parts
                        - New made spindles to enable the use of the 97'+ GP struts, etc
                        - Fabricated Aluminum front "K" frame

If these are going to be similar to the RSM STB's Ill deffinatly be buying a front bar from you, since RSM sent me the wrong length bar.
